  • Keep an active and healthy lifestyle. Make sure you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough rest. Exercise is a great way to help get rid of any tension, stress and negative feelings that, no doubt, will have built up during your breakup and will help you feel better faster. Remember, after a break up, it’s difficult enough to think with a clear head, and twice as hard if you’re not providing your body with proper sleep, nutrition and physical activity.

In summary, while it’s okay to take some time to ‘get yourself together’ after a breakup, don’t let it dominate or ruin your life. It’s important that you don’t just mope around your house or apartment and do nothing. Above all, don’t beat yourself up mentally over the breakup.
